What Does This Mean????

I get a daily horoscope by text message and the other day this was it:
"Hold on to the new intellectual connections you're making--these are valuable"

This has thrown me for a loop! I am looking for these connections everywhere! When I meet someone I am thinking "Is this the intellectual I am looking for?" I wait for something profound and then I realize that the person is dumber than damn it.

Where have all the intellectuals gone??

Thank You, Thank You Very Much

1.Thank you to the co-worker who told me to put the flags up when its supposed to rain. Please let me do the thinking. I know you are just trying to be helpful, but please wait until my meds have kicked in. You can apply for my job, if you think you want it.
2. Thank you daughter M!! I went out of my way to keep you off the bus this year. I arrange for transportation for you yesterday and you wouldn't answer my texts, questions or anything. My friend who is doing me a favor anyway calls and wonders where you are. You are riding the bus??!! This is not the first time you have done this sweetie, but I am sure it was your last.
3.Thank you daughter C. You called me such a nice name to your friend in one of your texts on your cell phone that I pay for. It was such a nice way to thank me. It was a pleasure to have you turn in your phone to me. I also have enjoyed listening to you whine as well. You are a credit to the word whiney.

I Am Random...At Best..

1. Please share one memory of your high school graduation. Pics would be great!
I remember my best friend getting a dozen roses from her parents and being amazed that parents did that type of thing for their kids. I just didn't think graduation was THAT big of a deal, but then my parents never bought me flowers for anything.

2. What is one "emergency use" item you keep in your vehicle at all times?   I keep a 5 gallon paint stick (free from Lowe's Home Improvement) to threaten my kids with. I DO NOT spank them with it. After that its pretty much the basics, flashlight, chairs, coolers, feminine products, etc...

3. In your region, do you celebrate graduation open houses? Addendum: (If so,) how many open houses/bridal showers/weddings are on your upcoming events calendar? I don't even know what a graduation open house I have no upcoming events...A few baby showers but no weddings as of yet....I don't think any of hubbies relatives are

4. Tell me one truth you believe about motherhood.
You have to make decisions that are best for YOUR family. You will get a lot of advice (good or bad). You have to stand up for your family and the decisions you all make. If someone disagrees with it...It's none of their business anyway!

5. What was the last thing you broke? A very pretty Tuscan olive jar at my Mom's house. I always break something there..It's a standing joke.

6. On average, how many pieces of junk mail do you receive daily? 2-3 I think, I just trash it!!

7. Do you like to shop by catalog? I like to look through catalogs A LOT, but I always order online. I always look through every catalog I receive through the mail..

8. Is lawn maintenance at your house a "his job," a "her job" or "his/her job" or "that's why we have teenagers" job? It's my job. I love working in the yard. I love to mow. Its very relaxing to me. I get my ipod out and mow til dark, if my family will let me.

9. Which room would you like to redecorate in your home? My kitchen. We upgraded the house a while ago but we didn't touch the kitchen. It's next. I would like new appliances and new cabinet drawer pulls.

10. Do you read a newspaper regularly, or do you read most of your news on line? I read the newspaper at work, during the summer while I am off I don't look at the news at all. TV maybe

11. Do you believe everything happens for a reason? Ultimately yes. Somethings we have to look back on, and then the realization hits. Choices always have consequences, whether good or bad.

12. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? I want to do the right thing right, but sometimes I do the wrong thing right. I don't know... I am confusing myself now.

My Friday Faves.....

I have to say I have had a pretty good week. These events are not in any order, just by randomness.
1.On Saturday, M. had a ballgame. There was a technical called on the other team, so her coach picked her to shoot the foul shots. She made one & missed one but it was a big confidence boost for her and a proud mommy moment.
2. We have had the most glorious weather in our part of the state. Other parts had very severe flooding, but East TN. was spared. We had a few storms but nothing in comparison to Nashvile.
3. I had a nice Cinco de Mayo dinner out with friends. I enjoyed a girls nite out and had a blast. It was a good stress reducer.
4. I am thankful that school is almost out for the summer. I can hardly wait to spend a few months out by the pool spending time with family and friends.
5. I have FINALLY put some issues behind me and I have to say I feel refreshed and cleansed. It's amazing how bad baggage can really consume you. It feels go to let it go, and REALLY let it go. Free at last, God almighty I am free at last!!

A Lot Of Stuff Going On... Some Good Some Bad

Where to start.......Had a good weekend. M did well in her tourney. Weather was crappy, Monday was CRAZY busy. Tuesday & Wednesday went by really fast.
I have missed doing my blog. I didn't realize how much until I haven't had time to write it.
As I have said my sister and I have had our share of problems recently. I am not sure really what started it, but she called me a bitch on my friends facebook wall. Facebook is what it is....but you don't do that crap.Well, on Tuesday night she leaves another shitty message on my wall. She left a really smart ass comment about my blog. That sends me in a tizzy. I am pissed as hell. I have ignored her and ignored her but I am too old to put up with this shit any longer. I blocked her from Twitter & Facebook. Then damned if I don't log into my blog, and she is following me so I blocked her here too.
So here is my message to you dear sister, if you are reading this:
Leave me and my family alone. Keep your comments to yourself and shut up! You have told things in the past, way in the past, that has damaged my marriage and still does. I forgave you for that. That was before and this is now. I am done with you. DONE.
